This is the recipe for the Ice Box Cake that we (Bronxites) grew up with. Many of us asked for this cake as our Birthday Cake. 2 boxes of My-T-Fine Chocolate Pudding (It is imperative that it is My-T-Fine brand-nothing else tastes as good 4 cups of milk (whole milk tastes best) Cook to package directions. 1 Box of Nabisco ( must be the red box) Graham Crackers |
Place a layer of grahm crackers on plate. Add a layer of pudding. Continue layering and finish top layer with pudding. Rule: This must be assembled the day before it will be eaten. Place tooth picks in cake (so wrap will not stick to pudding)and cover with plastic wrap. Rule: A few minutes before serving. Whip 1 pint of heavy cream, 3 tablespoons sugar, until forms soft peaks. Generously frost cake |
